Hello World ☺️
It’s been 112 days since I arrived home! This pandemic has turned my life upside down and I’m sorry I haven’t been feeling myself enough to keep posting here and sharing my travels with you!
2020 was suppose to be my year. Everything was going great, I was already on a roll and had traveled to 6 countries in the first three months; I was FINALLY starting to save money with the plan to save enough so I could make 2021 a full travel year. Then covid-19 arrived and ruined everything. I was in Poland operating as a cabin crew when out of the blue we got the info the country would close borders. I had done a night flight and arrived in the morning and went to sleep. I woke up with dozens of messages and I knew all hell had just broken loose! Everyone was freaking out and we all thought there was no chance we would get out of there. Luckily our company found a way to get us out last minute - at midnight all flights in/out of Poland would be canceled - and we flew to Germany and the next morning I made it home safely. This was 4 months ago!

I never thought I would be at home for this long and that things would get to this point everywhere in the world. I locked myself in my house, not seeing anyone and only visited my parents a few times (no hugging, no kissing) keeping my distance. The truth is I’ve been scared and it’s even scarier to not know when this will end and if me and the ones I know will be ok during all of this.

In all of this, I have been on unpaid leave this entire time, so goodbye to all my plans and hello to a big hot mess that constantly surrounds around the lack of money. Plus, in all of this I have managed to have lost my blog (again 😐) by missing the deadline to pay for the hosting and the domain, which happened in the worst possible time because if I at least had my blog i would have something to focus on this entire time.

So, what’s next? I honestly don’t know. I want to remain positive and believe that my airline will soon need us again, but it’s a gamble at this point, and it can take months before I get called and go back to work again and that’s terrifying.

Things have been pretty crazy the last few days. This coronavirus situation has turned Europe upside down. Countries have lost control and many European countries are closing their borders. ...
After receiving news that Poland 🇵🇱 would close the borders, our company took us out. We had to prove we were healthy and with no symptoms. I’m finally back home and officially quarantined for the next days, weeks, who knows. ...
It’s funny how three weeks ago I was here in Portugal, exploring my city and having the best time, and now I came back to a country that is slowly closing everything and that I’m sure soon will be on lockdown. We underestimate our freedom everyday and now we will have it taken away from us for our own good! ...
I know we all want to travel. There’s a whole world out there waiting for us and we only live once. Trust me, I live by this, but not now. In order to get our freedom back and the chance to keep exploring this beautiful world we need to stay at home, stay safe and survive this. Yes, we are young, yes if we get it there’s a HUGE chance we can fight the virus out of our bodies, but we are not going to think of ourselves. We the young will think of the older people who might not make it, we will think of our parents and grandparents or anybody else who might not have strength to fight this. We keep together and we survive this until it goes away, because it Will go away and in a few weeks, if we do this right, this will just be a bad story to tell, a creepy and crazy chapter of our lives, and we will be getting on flights across the world to fulfill our wanderlust and keep on exploring 🧡 Love you all 😘 Stay safe ❤️ Stay Home 💜 and keep on dreaming about where you will go because our time to get out there again will come again 💙

Working like a crazy person as I count my days to go back to the sun ☀️ where I belong 😊 11 days until I’m back in beautiful Portugal 🇵🇹 where I’ll get some much needed rest but also plan to go out and explore more of Lisbon and enjoy my time at home the best that I can. Hope you have a fantastic weekend with lots of exploring time and new adventures 🧡💙

Counting the days to be back in this sunshine ☀️🥰 2 weeks to be back in Portugal 🇵🇹 and get to go explore a bit more of my Lisbon ❤️ This time I want to (finally) take a day trip to visit beautiful Sintra (how was I never there in 27 years?? 🤔) and also to Cabo da Roca - the westernmost point in Europe 🙌 Fun things ahead once I am back in the sun ☺️ Ps. Can we just be in summer already? I miss the heat and summer clothes. Anyone else like me who cannot handle the cold and the horrible constant (depressing) winter ❄️ weather ? 🥶

Is it just me or this year is already going by so fast!? Currently in Warsaw, Poland 🇵🇱 where I’ll be until the 18th of March. I have a night stop in Germany 🇩🇪 and another one in Ukraine 🇺🇦 but since it’s only for a night I won’t be able to explore. On the 18th I’m flying home to Portugal 🇵🇹 where I should stay until the end of the month ☺️ we will see what April will bring as I will turn 28 😊
